31/10/2008 :: Pigmy 3's in stock!!

Howdy peeps, great news for all you crank fans out there...

The latest version of the Pigmy cranks has just been delivered. Now featuring an almost industry standard (for 3 piece cranks) 48 spline axle. The 'Pigmy 3' crank arms are now compatible with a multitude of aftermarket titanium axles currently available. We always looked at making a ti axle ourselves but the constantly fluctuating price of ti has previously put us off. The switch to a 48 spline (from 36) now means we don't have to worry about this, if you get hold of pretty much any other 19mm, 48 spline axle in ti, it'll work.

We have the arms in stock in the regular trusty 4130 tubing and also the super nice Reynolds 853 tubing. LIGHT!!!

Get hold of some today!! (or tomorrow...)

14/10/2008 :: New on line catalogue!!

Howdy y'all!!

Follow this link for a new fangled electronical version of our print catalogue. Big ups to Arty for making it happen too. Clever chap is our Arty...

Seems like I'm always writing about the weather but here goes again... It should be getting colder but Mrs Nature seems not to have been paying attention to the normal conventions of the seasons. Sunday was a scorcher! All day shred at the skatepark followed by a good ole fashioned sit down and slate each other for a while. PERFECT!!

Check the picture of Craig from t'other day too, sunset air. Beautiful, innit! Pic by Yeah Greg.

19/09/2008 :: Sideshow Dave jumps ship!

BOO HOO!!

Today is Sideshow Dave's last day working with us at Gusset. He's been behind a load of our web output and even designed the new 'Block' logo. He's a popular chap round here and will be sorely missed, even if it's just for his debating skills and ability to ask unanswerable questions of a philosophical or often frankly bizarre nature! He works his ass off in the warehouse too by the way, give that man a golden handshake! (it'll be a pint of weird ale more than likely...)

Brighton uni watch out, your biggest skate shredder is heading back to town to finish his degree!

Cheers Dave, we loves ya!!

29/08/2008 :: New clothes in stock now.

Howdy y'all!

Just arrived are the new season's clothing range. We got new design T-shirts, hoods and a couple of colours of military caps, you know, short peak, flat top kinda deals.

Check the pic for graphics of the T-shirts' front and back prints, hats and the hood with sleeve print.

The brown 'Logo' shirt is a deep chocolate brown, as is the hood. The 'Blocks' T-shirt is black, 'Fidel' hats are a nice khaki or black.

Hit up your local stores/mail order to order the stuff in, they good.

Have yourselves a good weekend now!

05/08/2008 :: Sam Pilgrim is made of gold...

Continuing his domination of International Slopestyle events, Sam Pilgrim won the Adidas Slopestyle in Saalbach, Austria at the weekend with his trademark smooth style and big tricks.

For video of his winning run check out:http://freecaster.tv/1000006_1005513

Sam is on flow from God right now, hence his winning ways. Check out the Bible for a full bike check...

28/07/2008 :: HOT!!

Howdy y'all!!

Assuming you've not been under a rock for the weekend, you'll have noticed that it was fekkin hot for the last coupla days!

In typical British style I went out in the middle of it and rode like a demented mosquito...for about an hour. Then I went and had a weep under a tree cos I was melting. So seriously, take care of yourselves out there in the sun, it's more powerful than you think!

25/07/2008 :: To be a Pilgrim...

Gusset's Sam Pilgrim came away from the Roof n Slopestyle comp in Avoriaz, France with a double win. Shredder.

Sam won Best Trick on the Monday with a clean double whip.
He followed that with the overall win in the slopestyle comp on the Tuesday, which is just greedy. Dang it Sam, leave some silverware for the others!

Sam was up against some of the very best slopestyle riders in the world including the USA's big guns - Darren Berrecloth and Cam McCaul.
The rest of the international riders included: Christopher Hatton, Yannick Granieri, Anthony Tomassi, Tony Rocci, Pierre Edouard Ferry, Thomas Genon, Cédric Gracia (oui oui), Carlo Dieckman, Simon Bonicel, Richard Delaunay and Carter Holland.

Sam is still using the same pair of Gusset Open Prison Bars that he used to win the Qashqai London and film his section for the new Kranked DVD - proof that Gusset products are built to last!

Best Trick Results:
1 - Sam Pilgrim
2 - Fred Austruy
3 - David Desnoes
4 - Yannick Granieri
5 - Rodolphe Legendre
6 - Tom Cauquil
7 - Rob Jauch
8 - Amir Kabbani
9 - Anthony Tomassi

Roof N' Slopestye Results:
1 - Sam Pilgrim
2 - Cam Mc Caul
3 - Yannick Granieri

So yeah, nice one Sam!!

08/07/2008 :: Bury St Edmunds jam!! Hell Yeah!!

Word up y'all! Anybody that's around should get yer asses to Bury St Edmunds on the 20th July for the annual jam. The skatepark rules, the locals shred and the atmosphere is always a treat. There'll be breakdancers there to dry the ramps if it rains (it worked last year!), food, drinks, prizes and general jam style mayhem. Hell, if you're lucky you might even catch a glimpse of Stoney!! If not, a quick cuddle with Jed might be your best bet...

06/06/2008 :: Promise of booze...

Had a quick chat with lanky jump/DH legend Jim Davage yesterday, he promised to come and see us at Gusset and go drinkin. I say hell yeah, that makes it a promise. So come on Jim, make good on your word and head up to Cambridge for some party action!!

28/05/2008 :: Feel the Gusset, London!!

E-frickin-normous props to super team dudes Lance McDermott and Sam Pilgrim. Both rinsed it at the Qashqai comp this weeekend.

Lance came 3rd on the day to give him the overall series win, what a belter!! We love you Lancey Wance!!

Sam busted out all weekend and took the comp win, giving him 5th place in the series overall. What a rinser!! YEAH, SAMMY!!

Check out freecaster.tv to see their runs in all their multi-media glory.

01/05/2008 :: Shipment in!!

Howdy y'all!! Just unloaded a big old container full of parts. Lucky us eh? Big ups to the boys tho, we done the whole lot in record time, Linford Christie woulda struggled to beat us this mornin! Even the sun came out to play, obviously paying attention to this news column...scary!

Anyhow, we now have the Slink chains back in stock, thank God, sorry if you've been holdin out for these. 1-Er's also came back in, get yer single speed on!!

Also, first drop of the NEW 25t bashwheels. They're SOOOO nice! Get one!! They turned out real good!

Oh yeah, and Bastard grips...Sod it, loadsa stuff just came back in!!
Woop!!

30/04/2008 :: Weather...

So, after a good coupla weeks of half decent weather, it's gone all British on us. Is there anything worse than the 4pm bas**rd storms we get?! Just about ready to bust out of Gusset HQ for a shred then, BAM!! More rain than the Amazon sees in a month comes down in about 12 minutes... Any more of this and I'll be taking my complaints to Mother Nature herself, see if I can't work something out. Maybe if I recycled more she'd be more lenient with the wet stuff?

25/04/2008 :: Attention Street riders of the UK!!

Recent scientific research (by me) has shown that security guards throughout the UK are under the impression that they are super intelligent. They are not. When asked "Do you want me to phone the Police?!", simply answer "No thankyou." It stumps them instantly. Take heed, it may save your life, or at least your evening.

09/04/2008 :: Team rider update (Yo)

This week we've hooked up Lance McDermott for parts. It wasn't exactly a tough decision as he absolutely rips on a bike. Seriously, he makes me weep... Check the site for pics of him soon, we'll get a bag load and show you the best of them. Word, Lance rules (and he's a handsome devil, chicks love him...)

Oh yeah, I hear he's on Halo and ODI flow too... Lucky chap!!

Cheers Lance, we love you!! (no homo)

20/03/2008 :: New New Website

We only gone and dun it didn't we?

New pages are up now - check out the gallery, the faq/tech and about pages.

If this is the first time you've seen the new-look Gusset site, get with the program! Get your head out of the sand! If you don't keep your wits about you you'll turn around and you'll be obsolete/over the hill/one foot in the grave. You'll be a wrinkly beardo who wears a wetsuit and a hawaiian shirt in public and says 'hep'. You have been warned.

Keep checking back for more updates

28/02/2008 :: New Gusset site!

Check it out, we felt the site needed an update, both technically and visually. Alongside the obvious stuff, like product info, we`re adding a Tech/FAQ section. This should help those of you out there with the spanner skills to fully install any of our more complex parts. This section will be added to gradually as we get the files written! Bear with us!
Also, we have a team section, letting you know who is out there using and repping our goods. Shredders, every one of em. Cheers fellas!
You will also notice that we have a new logo, it`s been around for a good coupla months but the process of filtering it onto all the parts takes a little time. Looks good tho eh?!

Anyhow, get on with it and play with the site, anything that you think`s missing, holla, we`ll holla back!
