22/12/2004 :: Glen’s at it again…
This one made me laugh when I first heard about it. Glen ‘Iknow nuthin’ about common sense’ Coe has been getting bored of the double backflip attempts and has moved on to the Barrel Roll. That’s right, BARREL ROLLS. Basically a sideways flip on dirt, like leaning over to one side and keeping going all the way over. Don’t know if it’s ever been done before so I’m officially naming it the ‘Glen Flip’. Loose Cannon anyone?
Can you imagine going to the supermarket with him, ‘ Oi Glen, stop dicking with the trolley would ya!!’ ‘Nah man, I reckon I can gap to manual over these beans when that granny gets outta the way…’
21/12/2004 :: USA Team Update
We’ve recently hooked up a promising trials/street/park rider in the US by the name of Dan Bowhers. He has impressed us with his flowing yet burly style and commitment to his own progression. Look out for some quality photos / video clips inthe near future.
He tells me that his girlfriend was especially ‘pleased’ with his redesigning of her car with a batch of Gusset stickers… He might regret that someday tho… Never annoy your own lady!!
Also, just in are the new and spangly Scandium constructed FRX (freeride) and XXX (Jump/DH) bars. Excellent sweep/rise and RIDICULOUSLY light weight. I nearly wet myself every time I pick a set up. I did once actually… Is that too much info?
09/12/2004 :: Team Updates
Newest addition to the Gusset parts team, Glen Coe, recently defied all known logic and started to perfect the mystic art of the double backflip. Rumours have been filtering through about this for a few months and sure enough, latest copies of Dirt magazine confirm the phenomenon. The boy’s crazy in the coconut. Really.
06/08/2004 :: Hop, skip, no jump.
Frankly awful news from long term jump team rider Ady ‘Kung Fu’ Bright. In a work related injury (Ker-ching!!!) Ady had the misfortune to get his foot run over by a 5 tonne forklift. Unfortunately his Etnies didn’t do much to protect him and he looks to be facing a toe amputation and the distinct probability that he won’t be able to ride again. Maybe he should’ve kept his SPD’s on… (Ady Wears SPD’s to ride - PSYCHO!!)
More news as we get it but for now the Gusset team salutes a fine rider and a fine man who has happily served both Gusset and Identiti teams for hundreds of years now. For those about to jump, we salute you. (That’s for tha AC/DC fans out there)
06/08/2004 :: Team News…
Gusset team rider Tom Dowie recently dropped into Gusset HQ to fill us in on his progress and pick up some new toys! In the Juvenile class of the NPS 4X series he’s currently leading the pack with 2 rounds left to race. He’s also been annihilating the opposition in the Dirt Jump events that run alongside the NPS series. Look out for him at the ‘Dirty Weekend’ Newnham Park, Plymouth on the 21st-22nd of August, which will be a new FreeCross format with points being awarded for style as well as fast times. Sounds pretty fresh to me! Also look out for him at Welwyn trails where he has reportedly interfered with local air traffic during jump sessions.
06/08/2004 :: New Jury forks!!
Just got stock of new Jury trials forks!!! New steerer assembly and build spec mean that the fork is now much lighter (25% to be more precise). Team news was that the old version was a little heavy so this should be a welcome update to the design. Looks good too so check em out if you’re in the market for some burly trials forks that won’t break your back!
13/07/2004 :: Finito!!
So here it is at last!! For the last few months the demon that is T’internet has been the bane of my life (and the web developer that’s done all the real work!). But it is done and it works! The point is, now you don’t have to wonder about anything to do with our stuff, it’s all there waiting for you to have a look-see. (sadly, porn fans, this site will not increase your wrist power in any way. but you clean it as fast as you like…) Hope you like it, if not let us know. Not that we’ll change anything. Well, we might…
